Keg at the brewery tap during RBWG ’15, 20/02/15. Black with a moderate tan swirl and edgeing. Nose is roast malt, charr, spice, chocolate, toffee. Taste comprises light roast, sweet toffee, chocolate biscuit, tangy dark fruit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough porter.

Draft at the brewery taproom during RBWG 2015. Pours deep black-brown with a creamy topping. Toasted cereal abounds, with secondary chocolate notes. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Well roasted malts in the finish, some dark fruits, cocoa. Nice.

Draft at Cycle Brewing during the RBWG 2015 bus tour. Dark brownish black with light tan head. Aromas of wheat, roast, licorice, chocolate. Tastes of chocolate, caramel, toffee. Medium body with a dry finish.

Sample at Peg’s Cantina. Dark brownish-black color with a medium foamy tan head that diminishes gradually. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee and chocolate. Light-bodied with flavors of creamy coffee, chocolate and roast malt. The finish is sweet with a lingering roasty malt aftertaste. Above average overall.
