Das goldgelbe, untergärige Bier ist kräftig malzaromatisch, hat weinige und alkoholaromatische Noten und ist sehr körperreich mit feinem Vanillearoma, wärmend für alle Starkbierfans. Ein Höhepunkt des Bierjahres!

330ml bottle (8.4%) from trade with Kolschtrinker. Many thanks. Pours gold with a light mist. Strong, sweet aromatics, alcohol. Taste is similarly sweet, yet not overpowering despite the strength. Fairly light bodied. Alcohol is qute noticeable. Moderate to low bitterness. Not bad on a hot evening like today.

Bottle (give my regards to the Bodensee!): Golden, a bit unclear, smaller white head; sweetish grainy-strawy nose with a very low bitterness and a tinge of alcohol; moderate sweetish flavour with only a slight bitterness, medium bodied, not overly soft; slightly drier and slightly lingering sweet-bitter finish. Not too bad, but pretty monotonous...

(bottle, 33cl, courtesy of Quack-Duck) Clear, golden colour with a blond and firm medium-sized foamy head. Delicately sugary malty aroma with doughy notes and traces of popcorn. Sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a soft, if not tame carbonation. A bit dull and slightly sugary malty start with doughy and subtle fruity notes but nothing more; stickily sweet malty finish with a very restrained to none hops character. Disappointing, rather an Imperial pale Lager than a Doppelbock. 02.III.16

Pours clear golden color with small off white head. Aroma is sweet, fruit, prunes. Taste is medium to heavy sweet, fruit.

Süß herber, hell malziger Antrunk. Nur wenig hopfiger Mittelteil, die Süße steigt , minimal alkoholisch. Dieser Eindruck verstärkt sich im Abgang, leicht fruchtig, nett. 9/10/7/9/8/9

Bottle 330ml. @ home.Clear medium yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, pale malt, sugary malt, fruity sweet. Flavour is moderate sweet with a long duration, sugary malt, thin, fruity. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20130416]
