Tap. Pours opaque black, small beige head, dissipates almost completely leaving minimal residual or lacing. Aroma is bourbony, cocoa, vanilla, lactose. Flavor is medium sweet, light plus bitter, bourbon and cocoa plus vanila. Medium body, seems to hold up well to me. Some heat apparent. Pretty solid BA beer.

Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a brown body that supports a tan head. The aroma offers up spicy oak, boozy bourbon, sweet nuttiness and then a chocolate note. The taste delivers loads of malt sweetened boozy bourbon and then thin shards of spicy oak. It gets more sweet bourbony into the finish as the bourbon is nicely softened by all the sweetness.
