Bottle from Alesela. It pours clear amber with a thick white head. The nose is sweet, doughy, grapefruit, candy and hay. The taste is bitter-sweet, doughy, lemon, grapefruit, light toast, spice, some bitterness and a touch of alcohol on the back end with a dry finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. Hides abv pretty well. Not a whole lot of character, but drinkable enough.

330ml bottle at home. Hazy light amber pour, massive white head, very high carbonation. Aromas are blackcurrant, orange, some biscuit. Taste has a good fruity sweet note, then a cleansing bitter at the back end. Grassy notes come out too, alongside more biscuit malt. Could do with just a bit more going on for the strength, and too fizzy.

33cl bottle thanks to a swap (Alasdair’s mate). It pours very cloudy and has a big frothy head - initially I’m actually thinking it looks more like a wheat beer. The nose the expected grapefruit. The taste has more grapefruit and more specifically grapefruit pith on the end. The palate is light to medium bodied with a creamy/tangy texture and a long bitter finish. Overall, the notes I’m getting are very one-dimensional but at least it’s a good dimension.
