12 oz. can, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma has gently smoky bourbon, dark sugars, sticky toffee, and oak. Flavour is dominated by the smoky bourbon barrels (sort of tobacco-y), followed by woody oak, dark dried fruits, and toffee. Real nice smoky barrel character. Great stuff.

Seems a fitting beer to have today after reading latest RB forum news… 355 ml can. Pours a dark brown with no head. Aromas of dark caramel, oak, bourbon and dry bready malts. Flavors follow same with less ok, more sweet caramel and additional raisins. Warm and quite sweet, but not showing 14%. Very good.

Can from the brewery
Dark chestnut colour, with no reflexes, and no head, even after an aggressive pour. Aroma of malt, caramel, toffee, a bit earthy, light liquorice. Full bodied; sweet but not syrupy; low carbonation, but with strong alcohol punch; flavour of caramel, toffee, vanilla, but I remember more malt depth in previous iterations. It seems more oxidized than I expected.
A bit too hot, but you won't find another malty Barley Wine for this price, around here.

Poured from 355mL can (released 2024, abv listed as 14.1%, can has 3YR stamped on it; thanks fiulijn). Their Instagram copy and pasted the Basil Hayden description so that's useless, especially when the can label clearly states Heaven Hill (Twin Sails is known for lazy errors like this). So the question is, since it's significantly different ABV, does the 3YR connotate that it was aged 3 years in HH barrels? It's not clear in written form... Anyway... Very dark brown with small dissipating beige head. American oak, toffee, dark fruits, smooth bourbon, feint vanilla, quite balanced. Quite good.

12oz (thx, Alex!) @ Ryan's shared with Peter. Appearance: dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: a lot of American oak, caramel, some dark fruits. Taste: along the same lines, full-bodied, caramel, American oak, vanilla, some nice dark fruit (like figs) character in the finish, creamy. Overall: good one.
