Om tap at Asahi beer hall, Asakusa. Amber color, creamy offwhite head, light roasted malts and hints of citrus. Watery texture, flat taste, light sour dry finish. Seems vienna rather than, pale ale, disappointing.

On tap at Bachi 23, below the brewpub restaurant. Downtown Ale a clean clear slightly dark amber with good lacing, malty grain aroma with some lurking fruitiness. Light bodied, a touch watery but with a decent interplay between yeast fruit notes & malty grains. Ok but not too special.
