On tap @ Bergen Ølfestival. Pours unclear orange, with a small head. Aroma is sweet malts, some hops, a zesty, fruity yeast, hay and bread. Body is full with soft carbonation. Flavour is sweet with caramel and toffee, with notes of bread and a vinous alcohol sweetness.

500ml bottle, batch 834, at Håndverkerstuene. Near clear, amber coloured body. Firm and stable white head. Aroma of pilsner malts and dried fruits. Pale malts and candy sweet fruits in flavour. Dry and sweet fruity to the finish as well. Noticeable alcohol. Monotonous, sweet, slow sipper (Oslo, 15.09.2012).

On tap @ Patricks. Hazy orange body with a small white head. Rather moderate in aroma, some oranges, caramel, white sugar, spices/herbs and Belgium yeast. Flavor is quite sweet and fruity, yeast, not much bitterness and a hint of alcohol. Medium to medium plus body, aftertaste is sweet and has some kind of more evidence sharp bitterness. A bit unusually, and nothing here reminds me of a pilsner, actually this is more like a strong blond without becoming a triple. Absolutely drinkable, but a bit to sweet and alcoholic for my taste. Some aging might do something here, but I’m afraid there is a lack of flavor to make this really great anyway. Nice experiment for the champagne yeast at least.

Small white head. Slightly hazy paleish amber body. Earthy mealy herbal aroma with notes of camphor candy and honey. Dry, with a kind of background sweetness, earthy wooden taste with fruity honey notes. Mid-bodied. Slightly sharpish and fizzy mouthfeel. Dry earthy resiny aftertaste with floral fruity notes. Nice, unusual, and highly drinkable. Perhaps mostly interesting as showcase for champagne yeast. (0.5l bottle, Håndverkerstuene, Oslo. Batch #834.)

On tap at Grünerløkka mat- og mikrobryggfestival. Slightly hazy golden with a white head. Malty aroma with some fruit, alcohol, hops and yeast. Quite sweet with a lightly yeasty and just slightly bitter finish. Quite strange, but certainly drinkable. (2012-08-24)

On tap at Grünerløkka festival. A hazy, orange beer topped by a small, off-white head. Quite sugary nose, fruitiness too, orange and peaches, some piney notes. Pleasant bitterness in the flavour, along with white sugar, orange and peach. Some yeasty notes. Warming, full-bodied and pleasant level of carbonation. Sure pleasant, but not much of an imperial pils I think, more like a Belgian blond ale. 120825
