Hazy amber beer with a small white head. Palate is very slightly viscous with moderate carbonation. Tangy marmalade citrus. Mild tropical fruits, peach. Mild peppery spice. Finishes semi dry. Mild minerals. Not particularly pilsner like, but pretty drinkable!

Bottle: Poured a bright golden color pilsner with a generous head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry hoppy notes with sweet malt notes. Taste is also dominated by sweet malt notes with some dry hoppy notes and a yeasty dry finish with the Champagne yeast really showing though the other flavours. Body is quite full with good carbonation. Interesting and first time I can say that the Champagne yeast really came out as much.

Draught@Beer Hunters, Pori (backlog). Goldeny orange colour with a small white head, that stays for a good while. Aroma is fruity, floral, mild alcohol as well as some sweet and bready malts to go with it. Flavour is crisp maltyness along with some fruity, floral and grassy notes. Some slight alcohol sweetness as well, but very balanced and actually refreshing compared to the abv.

From a 500ml bottle (batch number 834, BB 6/7/14). Pours a slightly cloudy light golden with a medium head. Has a distinct aroma of tart apple with some honey in the mix as well. The flavour is primarily apple and sweet citrus fruit, with some bready malt and Belgian yeast, followed by a touch of warming alcohol and a medium lingering bitterness. Wasn’t expecting it to be so sweet based on the aroma, but this is heading into dessert beer territory. That said, it’s amazingly easy to down for a 9per center. The palate is slick and the carbonation medium. All up, a very enjoyable imperial pils.

Appearance: Cloudy golden, or light hazy golden color if you do not pour all the bottom sediments into the glass. Small off white head that leaves some lacing.
Aroma: Yeast, fruity, wheat and light citric.
Palate: Medium pluss body. Slightly sweet, and a fine bitterness. Average carbonation.
Taste: Slightly sweet malty, fruity and wheat. Well hidden alcohol.
Overall impression: Feels like a german hefeweize. Just better. Nice well balanced powerbeer.
Personal stats: Bottle from Vinmonopolet Vika in Oslo, Norway.

On tap at Henrik, Bergen. Pours a clear dark straw-yellow golden colour with a very small off-white head. Aroma with some citrus, Belgian yeast, sour apple cider vinegar and sour berries. The flavour is dominated by the same but with more pronounced hay and wheat. Slick and soft mouthfeel, and a light bitterness. A very smooth and very Belgian ale. Almost like a sweet gueuze. Nice one!

50cl bottle pours a hazy, deep gold with one ring of white head. Nose is malty, boozy, tropical fruit, over ripe pear, pineapples, some candy sugar, clove. Flavor is heavy on the clove, sugary sweet, candy sugar, almost licorice, some orange, a little lemon, some yeast. Full bodied, very sweet finish. Almost like a lagered tripel.
