Sampled on draft at Smokin’ Joe’s in Pittsburgh PA this beer poured a golden amber color with a large foamy white head that faded quickly and produced good lacing. The aroma was faint tart vague fruits. The flavor was dry and bitter with a sour off notes and touches of vague fruits and nut. The finish was long, tangy, tart and citric. A bit thin in body. Disappointing.

Served on draft at Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a hazy pale amber color with a thin creamy head. Good head retention and excellent lacing. Aroma of caramel, apples and toasted malts. The taste is earthy hops, nuts, caramel and a floral hop finish. Medium bodied. Very drinkable. Nice beer.

Draft. A golden beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has strong notes of hops and grapefruits as well as light notes of spices. The flavor is sweet malty with lots of hops lending it notes of grapefruits, straw, and spices, leading to a dry and bitter finish where the hay note lingers. The body is light.

Nice hoppy floral notes with plenty of pine, too. Flavor is very similar but with a nice bite that isn’t too harsh. Body is a bit thin but with it being a lighter beer that is expected. Real nice beer that is extremely sessionable.

On tap at Pizza Paradiso Georgetown. Pours a transparent, bright orange with a thin, slightly creamy white head. The aroma was very inviting. Even my girlfriend knew it had been dry hopped. Smelled strongly of citrus, pine, surprisingly resinous for something that I knew would be low ABV. Flavor was sweet, biscuits, malts, light citrus. Finish is dry, bitter and clean. Very nice. I could drink a million of these.

On tap at 21A
Appearance: Golden yellow with a white head and some lacing
Aroma: Citrus hops
Taste: A nice amount of citrus hops but not over the top
This is a well balanced beer, not to hoppy and has a nice bitter finish

From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is mango and grapefruity hops. Light bodied with a solid citrusy fruity hops base flavour. Bitter and citric finish. Lasting dry and fruity finish, no sweetness at all.

This was my favorite beer for the sampler I got at 21st. While everything is hoppy in this place, there is nothing as good as a hop only beer that is 3% (it was listed at 3% on the menu). This is definitely the most hop bang one gets for the abv buck. The brew is a clear dull golden color and has a very sticky lacing. The beer is all clean, crisp, and bitter hops. The malt is almost a non-factor. Long bitter finish, damn the bitterness never goes away. This is the most hoppy beer I have had that was only 40 IBUs.

Re-rate 9/8/12: Can sample at a tasting at Ariel’s place. Thanks zvikar. Clear deep golden. Nice hoppy aroma, a bit "green", with pine needles, grass and citrus notes. Dry-ish flavor with light sweetness, a bit of malt anc nice hoppy bitterness with piney and grapefruity hints. Medium-bodied. Good and easy-drinking. 7/3/7/3/15=3.5

(10/27/08) Draught sample at the brewpub in San Francisco. Menu says 3.2% ABV. Clear golden color. Floral hoppy aroma with some citrus. Sweet malty flavor at first with some bread and subdued diacetyl notes, continues hoppy and bitter with some grapefruit hints. Medium-bodied and a foamy mouthfeel. Not bad. 7/3/6/3/13=3.2

Draught at the brewpub. Clear amber, minimal head. Rich citric lychee aroma. Swetish and light bodied with clean hard mouthfeel. The lovely seemless is in sharp contrast to the hard, primitive malt character. There’s notes of metal in a finish with medium bitterness.
