Bottle pour shared by CLW--thanks, Chris! Opaque black with ring of head, nice viscosity, trace lacing. Aroma is strong bourbon, port, oak, base stout, tobacco, dark fruit. Taste is aggressive bourbon and oak, toffee, earthy roasted malt. Smooth texture, relatively thin body, soft carbonation and finish as taste. No alcohol. If this had tasted like it smelled, this would have been AMAZING but taste falls short.

500 ml bottle. Aroma, a soft port wine, mixed with chocolate malts and light bourbon. Some blackberry jam. Aroma is really great! The flavor shows a solid amount of port wine character. Bourbon is second fiddle. Soft warming finish. Body is a tad lean.

Roast, coffee, and chocolate. I get a little tobacco cigar box like the description says. Bourbon and port. Black pour with decent mocha head. Creamy consistency, velvety. A hint of licorice. Bittersweet finish. Nice. Tap at High Side.

Pours black into a snifter. Tan head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Sweet hot bourbon and vanilla aromas. Thick with sweet bourbon, tart port and leather upfront turning to hot licorice in the slick, lasting finish.

Brewery draught, 3/30/24. Dark, clear, magenta highlights. Tan head sits at cover. Roasted malt and molasses notes outdo the barrel character, at least initially. Probably more port character than whiskey, with lightly fruity grape. Clean, with no booze. Malty yet very well-attenuated. Fruity, lightly acidic grape and charred barley throughout with a lot less whiskey character than I'd prefer. Not boozey, not sweet, but I'm just very much against heavily roasted stouts.
