330ml bottle [as Barnimer Bock, 6.4% abv]. Slightly cloudy, amber colour with average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, off-white head. Sweet-ish, pale malty aroma with a starchy touch of wallpaper paste, fruity hints of yellow stone fruit. Taste is dry and fruity hoppy, malty basis with subtle residual sweetness and a minimally starchy touch, hints of yellow stone fruit, berries; lingering, bitter hoppy finish. Slightly creamy texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying, simultaneously dry, even minimally repellent palate, medium to fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Well crafted, flawless, sporting this starchy touch I personally dislike but that is probably unavoidably connected with the style - not bad overall.

"Barnimer Bock auf Kultur", Fläschchen vom Flaschbierschop. - Goldbraun, leicht trüb. - In der Nase frische aber durch satte Malzigkeit gedämpfte zitrusfruchtige Herbe, leichte Pampelmuse, dezente Anklänge an Honig und Karamel. - Antrunk tief hell- und rotmalzig mit feiner Malzsüße, roten Beeren und intensiver aber gedämpfter herbaler und leicht orangenbitterer Hopfung. Milder rezent, vollmundig bis breit; fast restlos kaschierter Alkohol. Im Abgang trocken und von solider herbaler Bittere. - Sortentypisch malzschwerer roter Bock mit Tiefgang und eleganter, aromatischer Hopfung. Prima! (29.5.2021.)
