A Black Rye IPA. Punchy US hop flavour, spiciness from rye malt and a subtle lingering dry bitterness. A beer style we love - complex and well balanced leaving a lasting impression on the palate.

On tap at Board Room Folkestone. Dark brown beer lasting beige head. Some black ipa character on the aroma. Yes more roasted malt black ipa character in the mouth. Then a spicy rye malt finish. A good twist on the old black ipa recipe. I liked it.

Keg at the Cock Tavern - Hackney. Pours lightly hazed black-brown with a creamy, khaki head. Light-medium sweet flavour with decent roasted malt character, floral hops, burnt pine, orange peel, a nip of baking cocoa. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Ashy-citrusy finish, balanced piney-earthy bitterness. Hits all the right notes.
