Cask at the Cask, Pimlico - 11/01/13. Clear dark amber/brown with a thin off white head that retains well. Nose is summer fruit, hops, brown sugar, toffee. Taste follows, malt forward, caramel, orchard fruits, apple, a little biscuit. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation and a little bitterness in the finish. A bit on the ’twiggy brown’ side but drinkable. Not one I’d bother with again mind.

Cask at CPK, London. Pours clear, light amber with a small, white head. Light toasty malt nose, some ash. Light sweet flavor, burnt grain notes. Light in body with fine, soft carbonation. Weak toasty malt finish, faint leafy bitterness, touches of ash. Meh.

Cask at Cask Pub & Kitchen. Thanks to jackl for the pour....(I think). It pours hazy amber with a small off-white head. The nose is toast, earth, dough, citrus pith, soap and some cheese. The taste is lightly tart, dishwater, earth, spice, weak pithy citrus, hay and light astringency with a dry, pithy finish. Light-medium body and low carbonation. Not sure if this was on top form (or at least I hope it wasn’t). Not an enjoyable experience.
