Draught@SBWF. Black colour with a mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is coffee, some roasted malts, toffee and mild nutty elements. Flavour is liquorice, ashes, some roast as well as some salty and mild wooden tones. Nicely bodied too.

Aroma: Roasted malt, dried fruit, raisin, caramel, liquorice.
Body: Medium body, low to medium carbonation.
Flavour: Roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, dried fruit, some liquorice.

33cl bottle from Systembolaget, Kalmar. My first from this brewery. Feared this would be a faulty bottle as some minor leakage in the bag, faulty cork. Still, when opening, a loud hissing sound. Nothing wrong with the beer. Poured dark brown, near black, thin brown head. Sweet licorice, malt, hint of smoke in aroma. Wood coming through as well. Flavor is roasted malty with some sweetness, licorice, chocolate notes. Pleasant finish, semidry, smooth, oaky notes.

(Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival, 5 Oct 2013) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of chocolate, coffee, roasted chicory and black rye bread. Malty, roasted taste with chocolate, black rye bread, coffee and a balanced roasty bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with slight sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Very nice.

Bottle 330ml.Clear medium to dark brown colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, grass, leather - shoe polish. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet, light acidic and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, dark malt, fruity, sugary, dark fruit, roasted. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is fizzy - soft. [20130328]

Bottle. Pours a dark brown black color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty spicy caramel aroma. Roasted malty spicy caramel flavor with hints of chocolate. Has a roasted malty spicy caramel finish.

Flaska från SB. Mycket mörkbrun, närmast svart, massor av skum. Stiltypisk doft av choklad, soja, kaffe och rostad malt. Lite stickig munkänsla p g a mycket kolsyra, liten toffeesötma, ganska brända smaker av malt, choklad och kaffe. Lätt syrlig och en försiktig beska i eftersmaken. Goda smaker och helt okej och bättre när kolsyran försvunnit och tempen stigit lite.

Bottle from Systembolaget, e-order in February 2013. Black with a medium tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, some chocolate and light "spices". About the same in the taste. Also some toffee. This was a relaxed and very drinkable one.
