This strong Moylan's brew is what keeps those Irish eyes a smiling. Its deep amber radiance has been described by our brewer as the most visually enticing beer. This ale's rich malty flavor, full body, invigorating aroma, and expansive finish empower it to be extremely satisfying and repeatedly enjoyed. Great Western Two Row Pale Malt, De Wolf-Cosyns' Caravienne and Munich Malts are allied to provide the 1.070 beginning specific gravity, while Fuggle and Liberty hops balance this sweetness. A classic rich and malty ale from Ireland. Unlike most "want-to-be" red ales, Moylan's red has a rich caramel character balanced with a low hop profile.

Slight caramel. Pours copper clear, no head no lacing. A little candy here, finishes sour with low carbonation. Some malt in the aroma. Uninteresting. Tap at Taberna Lupulo.

Bottle, 22oz. It’a a more or less clear one, dark golden in color and with a small, off-white head. The aroma is rather boring, malts, some caramel notes and a little bit of fruityness. The flavor is mre or less the same, with some bitterness showing up towards the end. Soft on the palate, full-bodied and quite dry. Nothing impressive going on here, but it drinks easy. 130216
