Cask @ Firehouse, Sowerby Bridge. Clear golden-blonde with a creamy head. Has small malty-bushy floral notes. Much better second time around at the Old Gate, Hebden Bridge, with a more steady bitterness to proceedings.

Cloudy gold beer, little white head. Some residual debris at the bottom of the glass. Palate is dry and a little soft. Minerally carbonation. Not getting much Bramling Cross earthyness here. What I do have is more of this bloody Mallinsons soap! Bitter minerally finish with a touch of citrus. Bitter linger.

Bottle. An almost clear one, golden in color and with a small, off-white head. Rather malt dominated aroma, with just a little bit of fruityness. Some old cardboard notes. Fruity flavor with some pale malts and some of that cardboard-ish thing found in the aroma. Medium body, quite dry. Mostly bitter finish. Well, I’m not completely satisfied by this one, but it’s an easy drinkable beer. 130216
