Old rating from 07-12-16 - A 500ml bottle. 3.8 ABV. It pours a hazy amber colour with a foamy white head. Aromas of citrus & fruit. Tastes of citrus, pine, cereal, berries & fruits. Aftertaste has a strong fruity bitterness that is a little over powering.

Bottled 500ml (ABV 3.8%, BGonzo, BBE 08/2018)
Clear golden colour, small white head. After sediments a bit hazy. Nose doesn't show expected black currant but for me it like pear or green apple. Light-bodied. Fruity - is it that Bramlign Cross loganberry? Apple, flowery notes and then some zesty bitterness in the aftertaste. Simple and British.

Cask half-pint at The Pheasant Inn, Wellington Shropshire on 30th May 2017. Clear golden pour, white head. Piney hop nose with a slight fruity note or two: the taste was hop bitter and again with a slight fruity trace, didn’t get any Blackcurrent though.

Bottle. Hazy golden body with a medium white head. Lively carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of peppery malt and shortbread. Flavour of earth, tonic water and underripe pear. Thin to medium body with a light, oily texture. Fizzy carbonation. Simple and subtle.

Bottle from Strand Wines Walmer and drunk on a train. Hazy pale gold lasting white head. Really fruity aroma. Yes that lovely hedgerow fruit. Another effortless spot on outstandingly brilliant single hop Mallinson beer. Captures the essence of the hop and tastes wonderful. This is how to do a single hop golden ale. Wow. The black berry and black currant flavour is great. Excellent bitterness. Just top notch.

Cask at Three Tuns, Dronfield - Clear yellow body, thin white foam. Nose is an odd berry like aroma, little bit of citrus. Taste is cereal and a fruit berry background. Nothing too unpleasant but I’m not a fan.
