Mohawk Oat IPA is a part of a series of IPA’s containing various adjuncts to explore the possibilities of the India Pale Ale style. Oats give the beer a velvety mouthfeel and softens the flavour. Brewed with Pale Ale, Oat, Munich and Caramunich malt, and Magnum, Columbus, and Palisade hops.

Bottle 330ml. @ home.Unclear matt medium orange colour with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, orange - citrus, fruity, perfume, flowers - soap, dusty hops. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, peach - apricot, fruity, sharp bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130320]

Bottle at NK Bar. Hazy amber colour with an off-white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is fruity, hops, floral. Flavour is like the aroma, fruits, hops, floral with some bready notes to it.

had@SBWF2012 (forgot to write if draught or bottled). Hazy orangeish amber colour with a mediumsized off-white head that leaves some lace. Aroma is fruity, hoppy, herbal, mild caramel and some bready and earthy notes. Flavour is bready and herbal with some nice floral and fruity notes as well. Smooth palate.

Sample at SBWF 2012. Amber with a large, slightly tan head. Descent but nothing extraordinary. Hops, caramel, yeast, bread and some malt.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy pale amber orange color with a longlasintg off-white head. Has a fruity malty smooth hoppy aroma. Fruity malty hoppy flavor with hints of citrus. Has a fruity malty smooth hoppy finish with bitterness in the aftertaste.

Bottled at Haket, Göteborg, on June 26, 2012Hazy amber color, big lasting off-white head. Herbal and alcohol scent. Herbal, bitter, some faint almond paste, alcohol taste. Medium to a bit smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness.

Draft. A hazy amber beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt, hops, lemons, and oatmeal. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, oatmeal, and citrusy hops as well as a light note of alcohol, leading to a dry and bitter finish.

33 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a small tan and creamy head. Aroma is herbal pinewood hoppy. Solid hoppy and bone dry. Light pine. Bitter and dry malty finish. Lasting fruity finish.
