Dink sample from fiulijn, pours a clear urine orange. Aroma brings out tons of hot booze and gasoline. Flavour is full of gasoline, with hot booze, some orange, and alcohol. Boozy, messy and lacking all integration. Very poor mead.

Gold. Plasticy honey note. Sticky, some fusels, not great. Some issues in the and what is the name of this mead?

Poured from leftover container (thanks Fiulijn; 10 years old?). Clear deep gold, no head. Boozy, hint of honey, probably too old and oxidized, lost its flavour, almost wood glue-y. Not great.

Bottle 500ml. corked, dark green glass.Clear medium yellow colour with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy honey, light to moderate apple - grape. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, honey, dry apple - maybe grape. Body is medium, texture is oily - syrupy, carbonation is flat, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20130224]

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is dense honey and sweet to floral. Sweet, semi dry initial impression. Flat honey to light oxidised. Floral and dry honey to a oxidised finish.

Corked bottle, 50cl, from Caffé del Corso, Osimo
Measured Final Gravity: 1016
Amber color. Aroma of sugar, some fermented honey, the grape provides just fruity hints; there is also a light oxidization and wood that adds more complexity than deception; some alcohol too finally.
The mouthfeel is semi-sweet; the mead character is very present, while the grape provides some light fruity feeling, not too evident; it has nice caramelly flavor, the alcohol provides a comforting warmth, pleasant when chilled; the final has a mild astringency, tannins possibly.
Nicely made, balanced and with a decent complexity.
