Belgo-style Pale Ale
An approachable and unpretentious take on a distinctive style, generous in flavor and delightful to sip. An exuberant punch of Citra and Krush in the dry hop enlivens a crisp, traditional Belgian-style Pale Ale with sweet tangerine and apricot notes. Refreshingly original and compellingly off kilter.

12 oz. can, in trade with treebute. Pours a nice caramel color with a big, frothy, beige head. The aroma is bitter oranges, butterscotch, sweet herbs, and lime. Citrusy sweetness, with a nice, mellow, but assertive, bitterness. Light, pleasant, sweet aftertaste. Medium body, fizzy, a little chewy, and clean. Overall, this is an excellent, subtly complex, and quaffable beer.

Normal size fucken can @ home, courtesy of TheAlum! Thanks! Pours! Pretty clear rust orange appearance with a nice fluffy tan head. Pretty fucken spicy hops in the nose. Some pine and dank for sure. Some doughy, citrusy notes as well. Pretty heavy carbonation. Juicy grapefruit and banana flavor with vanilla, spice, herbs, and grass. Ok but doesn’t blow my mind.

12 oz can purchased at Lalo’s Mexican Restaurant located in the Midway airport main terminal boulevard food court in Chicago, Illinois. The pour is a clear golden copper with a one inch light tan head. The aroma is fresh grass, floral hops along with a spice Belgian yeast. The taste is the nose, nice clean mix of the hops and the Belgian yeast notes. The palate is medium bodied with active carbonation and a lightly bitter finish. Nice, happy to find this at Midway (this place also had Revolution Anti-Hero IPA).

Can (2013 assumedly) in a trade with theAlum, drunk on 2/16/14
Slightly hazy orange-amber beer is topped by a small white head that recedes to cover.
TROPICAL FRUITS. Yes, this is nice. Pineapple, mango, kiwi, that sort of thing. Lush, green hops and citric notes follow up the tropical fruit notes and a lightly sweet crystal malt note provides balance. Medium high to high strength of aroma, no flaws and just pure, aromatic hoppiness without all the acidity.
Hop bitterness, incredibly juicy fruit hop flavor and almost the perfect amount of pale malt sweetness collide on the palate. Soft texture and light but engaging carbonation keeps it drinkable, though it does get too sweet by the end of the glass. Bubble gum and light mango esters build on the finish and it gets a bit wit beerish but the hops are done so well they could almost put arsenic in this stuff and it wouldnt matter. Need to try more from these guys....

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours lightly hazy golden amber color with a 2 finger fairly dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of peach, mango, pineapple, lemon zest, orange zest, banana, tangerine, pear, apple, floral, grass, clove, pepper, light pine, light honey, and floral/yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great citrus/tropical hop complexity with a moderate yeast and malt balance; and good strength. Taste of big peach, pineapple, mango, tangerine, banana, lemon zest, orange zest, clove, pepper, pine, floral, grass, bread, light honey, and floral/yeast earthiness. Moderate earthy tartness and spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of mango, pineapple, citrus zest, banana, clove, pepper, pine, floral, grass, light honey, and floral/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome balance and complexity of hop and yeast flavors; with a moderate malt balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, and lightly acidic mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a highly excellent Belgian pale ale! All around great balance and complexity of hop, yeast, and malt balance; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A highly enjoyable offering.
