Cask (gravity) @ 29th Pigs Ear Beer and Cider Festival 2012, at The Round Chapel in Hackney, London, England.Clear dark red brown color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, coffee, strong coffee, dusty coffee. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, coffee, strong coffee. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. [20121204]

Pigs Ear. Clear dark brown beer, little tan head. Neutral palate with moderate carbonation. Dry. Rich coffee, espresso and slightly tangy. Trace of malt sweetness. Not much else to report. Unapologetically a coffee beer!

Cask at Pigs Ear BF 2012, London. Pours rich brown with a frothy, tan cap. Huge, deep coffee aroma with light cocoa notes. Light to medium sweet flavor with lots of coffee, moderate earthy bitterness, tobacco. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Moderately sweet finish with dry cocoa, rich and bitter coffee. Solid coffee porter. Quite robust.
