Poured from a 16 oz can dated June 26, 2018. Aroma is very yeast ester forward with lots of tropical fruit and light dank hop notes. Lots of mango, passion fruit and stone fruit with light pineapple and citrus. Light grain notes. Pours a somewhat hazy, golden color with a medium large, thick, frothy, white head that exhibits decent retention as it slowly recedes to a thin film that lingers on the edges. Moderately high amounts of lacing and small legs. Flavor has a medium light sweetness with light cracker malt notes. Medium bitterness with light alcohol notes. Moderately high ester notes with tropical fruit and stone fruit. Light hop notes of citrus and resin. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, an odd IPA. I brewed an IPA with this ester profile when messing around with torturing the East Coast IPA yeast strain - under pitch and let it ferment a bit hot. It's interesting but it kind of overwhelms the hop notes.
