Bottle: Glowing peach/amber colored pour with a short lived white head. Nose is malty with very light fruit and hints of oak. Tastes malty, earthy, sort of a stale tartness, cherries, and more stale malt. Overall the odd stale notes and lingering malt are a turn-off. Bummer

Deep amber golden color. Slightly sour, strawberries. Light bodied, but unbalanced and all over the place. Not really that interesting.

Location: 750 ml bottle from State Line, 8/9/12
Aroma: The aroma has some cherries, other fruits, light tart/funk, some yeast, and some herbal notes
Appearance: It pours a kind of reddish-pinkish-orangish (I know, that was a great use of the "ish" suffix) color with a fizzy, almost champagne-like, white head, no lace, and a lot of bubbly movement in the glass
Flavor: The taste is similar, it is tart, sweet, acidic, and fruity, but it was not really all that sour
Palate: It has a fairly light body, and heavily fizzy carbonation (again champagne-like seems to fit)
Overall Impression: What else is there to say about this one? I found things to like and dislike about this one. The nose is fairly decent, not great, but I had no major qualms. The pour is a little weird, but still perfectly acceptable. The flavor? Well, I've got some qualms there. It was kind of a miss, maybe not a major miss, but definitely at least a minor miss. The palate? It wasn't bad as much as it was odd. It just doesn't drink like a beer. If I want something this much like champagne, I'll drink the bubbly. Ultimately, this beer just didn't come together. Maybe some more aging would have improved it, but then again, maybe not.

Bottle. Hazy, dark cherry red liquid with medium to big pink head, Aroma of werid cherries, wood, cereal/grain, sour apples and caramel. A bit weird. Taste is dry and medium sour with light bitterness. Quite werid with some cherry notes. Doesn’t work to well. Medium bodied with light to medium carbonation.
