Cask@Reading Beer Festival 2012. Deep ambery black colour, small white head. Aroma is fruits, some wooden notes along with syrup, roasted malts and some slight ashy notes. Flavour is very similar, with some malty sweetness also being there.

Cask, gravity at Merton Winter Beer Festival, 17th & 18th February 2012 This is either very dark brown or just black I keep looking to see if any light is able to permeate but its looking like maybe not so this is probably near on black. Taste is chocolatey and very malty, little powdery cocoa and quite filling in the mouth. Rich, malty beer that I thoroughly enjoyed and whilst the hoppiness was also evident I think that the maltiness was the dominating theme here. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6
