Gravity Cask @ Urban Taphouse. Super hoppy, with a weedy, leafy, flower stalk thing going on. Sharp chemical aftertaste with hops dancing around on the tongue long after swallowing. Quite a bold taste, perhaps too much at times but a good beer nonetheless.

Cask at George, Croydon. It pours clear amber with a medium white head. The nose is earthy, grass hay, light toast and orange marmalade. The taste is damn bitter, pine, resinous, grassy, grapefruit, leaf, juicy citrus, burnt rubber and pepper with a big bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Crazy bitterness! A brilliant cask IPA.

Bottle from Domus Birrae. BBF 15 Oct 13. Pours hazy dark gold with a foamy white head. Aroma is mixed hop over mild roast malt. Med + body. Flavor is very hoppy - but the combo suggests scorched rubber. Hop burn. Strongly hopped. Grabs the taste buds and won’t let go. Earth and resin seem to be strong components. This is extreme. If rating multiple beers, make this the last. The scorched rubber thing is not a bad thing. In this beer anyway. With time the flavor does seem to separate into components. So now I think earth, resin, floral. Not going for citrus at the moment. This is challengingly hoppy - as to which, not too how much. This beer demonstrates that there can’t be too much hop. Wowsa.
