Hill Country Bock is a malt forward, easy-drinking amber lager with notes of light toast and freshly baked bread. Intentionally simple and purposely timeless, this beer is the perfect representation of all things that make the Hill Country so special – simple and straightforward without putting on airs, full of character yet approachable and generous in spirit. We think our Bock is a real taste of Texas.

Roast and a little caramel. Pours clear mahogany without much head. Some caramel sweetness in the end. Tap at Flying Saucer DFW.

I can appreciate a good bock, time to see how Real Ale does one. I spotted a 12 oz can at the HEB locally earlier this week. So now I have a snifter prepared to receive the pour, a lighter than expected brown body with plenty of amber working its way through and a thin ring of silvery foam. I smell biscuit and roasted malt. The taste is all right without breaking any new ground. Malt, some pecans, a bit of caramel and some amber lager thrown in. Decent enough.

Post 5K draft at the brewery. Crystal clear amber color with a small off-white head. The taste is very Vienna lager-like, but a little crisper. Light caramel flavor. Clean and smooth. Easy drinking. Very good.
