Cask at CBC CG - London. Pours back-brown with a frothy, tan head. Nice aroma, with a good does of baking cocoa, ashy roast, scorched earth. Medium sweet flavour with more prominent ashy roast character, some more bitter chocolate, burnt grass and pine, raisins, rubber, tobacco, soy sauce. Medium bodied with fine carbonation; decent condition. Finishes with some bittersweet cocoa, further ashy roast, lots of burnt grass bitterness, torched pine too. Just alright overall. Not entirely cohesive.

Cask handpull at Craft Covent Garden. Black beer lasting tan head. Roasty malt aroma. Very hoppy as well. Not quite my thing.Big roasty liquorice stout some juiciness then a lot of green leaf hop on the finish. Light bitterness. Just not sure. Bit too hoppy maybe for good balance. Hmmm.
