Cask (gravity) @ Cambridge Winter Ale Festival 2013, at the University Social Club, Mill Lane, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England CB2 1RX.Clear dark brown - red amber color with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, keller. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, keller, caramel, sweet malt, vomit notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20130119]

Cask, gravity at Merton Winter Beer Festival, 05-02-10 Pours brown with off white head. Aroma is quite toffeeish and with a smidgen of dark fruitiness going on in the background. Taste is malty and the strength is apparent, some sweet rush of silky fudge and toffee with a little hop bitterness in the background. Its fine but sadly another beer that really didn’t do it for me, I’m glad that others really liked it, sometimes I think you really need to be the proper side of the bar and to sit and really relax with a beer like this, but never mind.
