Dominion Kristall Weizen is a filtered German-style wheat beer. Many wheat beers are unfiltered which leaves yeast in the product that gives beer a cloudy or hazy apperance. Dominon's Kristall Weizen is made with the finest German malts, formulated by brewer Derek Bailey, the malt bill is 60% German wheat combined with German Pilsner and Munich malted barley. German Hallertau hops give this beer a classic flavor and aroma. We believe our summer ale will quench your thirst.

Crystal clear golden coloured body with a nice off-white head, even from draught. Aroma of wheat, coriander seed, yeast, corn and a small amount of curacao. Medium-bodied; Chewy taste with strong bananas, cloves and yeast in the taste. Aftertaste is nice and refreshing - malt is leftover with a good amount of sweetness. Overall, a good american kristall - If you bottled this with a german label, you’d never know it was produced in the states...let alone a suburb of Washington! A great beer to start off the Old Dominion Beer Festival with! I sampled this six ounce sample from pseudo-draught at the Old Dominion 2005 Beer Festival on 24-June-2005 in Ashburn, Virginia.

I had this some time ago but had only remembered recently about it when I was going through old beer notes and bottles that I had been saving. Poured a clear light amber color, medium head. Carbonation a little higher than I had expected. Banana, wheat, and lemon. It was decent, but probably a style I’d avoid in the future.

Beef liver and clove aroma. Weird! Fairly clear golden color, thin white head. Tastes still a bit meaty with coriander. Very strange brew, both hearty and refreshing. Hop finish. Not exactly bad, and uprated for originality.

On tap at the brewpub, RBSG 2006. A hazy orange beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet wheaty with light notes of banana. The flavor is perfumated in a weird way - it is more perfumated than wheaty. The end is slightly dry.
