Aroma of wheat, banana, spicy yeast, malt, caramel, milk chocolate. Flavour is similar, light caramel sweetness and some sour notes. Decent Dunkelweizen.

0.5 l bottle from local 'trinkgut', best before August 2018. Hazy, very dark brown with a large, foamy, stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty, rather yeasty-spicy and a bit fruity aroma of caramel, overripe banana, cloves, prunes and some nuts. Quite sweet, malty, fairly yeasty-spicy, slightly roasty and a little fruity taste of overripe banana, cloves, toasted nuts, caramel and some prunes, followed by a short, moderately bitter, a little tart, quite yeasty-spicy and slightly roasty finish. Medium to full body, smooth, slightly creamy and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Quite good actually, great balance and overall a very pleasant drink.

On tap @ a very crappy place. Had this right after the lousy Krombacher Dunkel and boy was this a step in the right direction. Dark brown with a big foamy head. Little bits of lacing. Aroma of clove and a hint of smoke and burned bacon. Taste is bananas, caramel and malts. Not that much yeast. Very strong carbonation. Average Dunkelweizen but very süffig. I seem to enjoy even weaker Dunkelweizen very much. Thank you.

Pours dark brown from the bottle with a huge, fluffy head. Lots of evident carbonation. Aroma is a mix of Weizen, banana, dough, and cherry. Taste is sweet, with the roasted caramel malt and fruity notes in tune and complementing each other very nicely. A nice start. The beer is marred by the palate, which seems too light and verges toward being watery. The finish remains sweet but becomes more one dimensional, as if the underpowered palate could sustain the full richness of flavor. Still, this is a decent dark wheat beer, refreshing, and good on its own or with food.

Trübes dunkelbraunes Bier mit ordentlicher beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch hefig, leicht fruchtig. Geschmack hefig, fruchtig, leicht bananig.

Bottle. Creamy off-white excellent fully lasting head. Dark amber colour. Moderate malty and hoppy and yeasty aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Caramel and esters present. Oily palate.

Sehr dunkelbraun, ja fast schwarz im Glas mit dunkelbeigem stabilem Schaum. Der Geruch ist angenehm malzig-hefig-mild! Im Antrunk präsentiert sich das Bier malzig-hefig, weich. Aber irgendwie wässrig bzw. neutral. Diese "neutrale" Note ist auch im Hauptteil deutlich spürbar, zu dem weichen hefig-süßlichen Aroma gesellen sich dunkle Malzaromen, die ausgewogen und angenehm passen. Auch ist die verwendete Hefe absolut geschmacklich einwandfrei und erzeugt tolle bananig-weiche Aromen. Der Nachgeschmack ist noch ganz leicht röstmalzig, angenehm weich-mild, ganz leicht herb und fein malzig-süßlich! Anklänge an Vollmilchschokolade. --> ein leckeres dunkles Weizen, auch wenn es auf Grund dieser "neutralität" im Hauptteil leider nicht an das tolle helle Weizen aus gleichem Hause heran reicht. Trotzdem sehr lecker!
