Cask at Retreat - Reading. Pours deep, clear amber with a frothy, light tan head. The nose holds well toasted malts, semi-dark fruits, hints of dirty leather. Light-medium sweet flavor with earthy and leafy bitterness, brown bread, leathery berries. Medium bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Somewhat bitter on the finish, with more toasted bread, grains, earth, dried berries, faint plum. Nice beer.
