500ml bottle. Quasi black colour with small, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, tan head. Sweet-ish, artificial chocolate aroma, hints of vanilla, marshmallows, hundreds and thousands. Taste is sugary sweet, artificial chocolately, hints of marshmallows. I don’t like this type of chocolate beers, but can’t see a great difference between this one and e.g. much higher rated High Water Campfire Stout.

Aroma: beautiful and strong scent of dark chocolate, with orange peel. Some cocoa is present too. Some alcohol but in a good way, like in those liquor filled chocolates. Appearance: dark brown with creamy, medium lasting head, nice lacing right after you pour it, but later on the lacing disappears. Taste: very sweet with light bitterness in the end. Palate:medium body, low carbonated, quite smooth. It’s not a regular beer. It’s very tasty. I love it.

Appearance: Transparent dark color with some ruby notes, and a nice beige head. Good lacing.
Aroma: Dark malty, toffee, caramel and rich chocolate.
Palate: Medium + body. A bit sweet with a mild bitterness. Average to soft carbonation.
Taste: Dark malt, toffee, bready and rich chocolate.
Overall impression: If you like Sheridans liquor, you will definitely like this one. Otherwise you better save your money!

Bottled. A black beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of straw, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel and malt, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle shared by Joes @ weekly tasting. Small to medium sized off - white head on top of a dark reddish colored beer. Horrible aroma of chocolate and that horrible horrible "hopjesvla". Oh god it tastes like that as well. Straight drainpour for me. Oh my god this is filthy stuff.

50cl bottle from Beer Shop. Pours clear mahogany with an off-white head. Smells quite artificial. Aroma of chocolate, cocoa with hints of vanilla and alcohol and it feels quite artificial. This was really not my kind of thing. What is this? Sweet and artificial and quite nauseating. A nice gift for the sink.
