An amber IPA with 4 malts & sackfuls of Cascade, Challenger & Chinook hops.

Conviction IPA is our flagship beer. Brewed with the finest British and American hops and weighing in at a sizable 120 IBU this amber IPA is designed to leave an impression. A deep amber pour and the aromatic equivalent of a fruit salad to the face. We believe rules are made to be broken and this beer does just that!

Bottle from Appellation Wines, Dalry. Amber pour with small, short-lived head. Grapefruit on the nose, and floral notes. Good malt backbone, if a little thin. Doesn?t taste as bitter as 120IBU, slightly sweet finish.

50cl bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours amber with a nicely proportioned head. The nose is mainly of elderflower with a little lemon zest. The taste has more elderflower, and some creamy grapefruit pith. The palate is light to medium in body with a creamy texture and a long and very bitter finish. Overall, I like this and wouldn’t expect to enjoy it quite so much given the bitterness. However, there is just enough creaminess on the palate to keep the drinkability.

Aroma: Dry dusty hop aroma. Fruit and herb notes.

Appearance: Clear amber body with a small off-white head. Lively carbonation. Light lacing marks.

Taste: Malty toffee flavour with white pepper and restrained citrus and mango notes. Very bitter.

Palate: Thin body with an oily texture. Average carbonation fizz.

Overall: Quite unusual but pretty tasty. I agree with a previous review that this is more of a British style IPA than an American-style, ultra hoppy IPA.
