Can to English pint glass.
Appearance: dark brown close to black with a swiftly dissipating head which barely left any lace.
Aroma: dark roasted malts, coffee sweet tones, roasted coffee beans, toasted nuttiness, mild sweet earthy tones then some maple syrupy sweetness and subtle cinnamon for some more balance
Flavor: meshes all the prior noted aromas together bittersweetly, mild aftertaste of sweet coffee, cinnamon and maple syrup
Texture: medium bodied, beteen sessionable and being a sipper, light smoothness along tongue; finishes semi-smooth with a touch of dryness
Overall: pretty nicely done coffee stout I'd have again.

Pours black, which is already quite cool as most lower abv stouts tend to be dark brown rather than black. Medium sized, stable, tanned head. Scent is mild, somewhat milky coffee, milkchocolate, smooth but low volume. Taste is smooth, medium body (at this abv !!) maple shines trough first. Very mild vanilla, and notes of coffee beneath. But maple truly takes the lead, and it works quite well honestly. Medium low carbo. Finish is sweet-ish ( the whole experience is, but never too much so) and aromatic of maple and coffee (no real vanilla here). Very tasty , for its ABV this is amazing. The mind goes towards some high class imperial pastrys trying to compare, which absolutely makes no sence, but thats the quality it's got. Mind you, compare this to any other stout(ish) beer at this ABV, and i think I might need to call this the ... Best I've ever had? Impressive stuff. My first beer from this seemingly hyped brewery, and so far, i'm intrigued to try a few more.

Sampled side by side with Blueberry Pancake version at Shelter. This is OK. Watery dark brown black with a ring of beige head. Nose is sweet, Vietnamese coffee, vanilla, some maple. Flavor really follows, sweet and malty, caramel, vanilla and maple. Sweet silky finish. Pretty good.
