Pours dark amber. Almost no head. Intense aromas of banana candy, milk chocolate and hazelnut. Much drier than you’d expect from a barley wine, and much less bitter. Even the finish is not as long as expected. Not bad, but not a true barley wine.

At a tasting, thanks teddybeer, gushing head, murky very deep orange colour, oxidised aroma with notes of toffee and sourdough bread, flavour of fruit and candy with a hint of honey, quite sweet, almost no bitternes and avery light body for the style. Probably way over the hill.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Thanks tomer. Murky amber. Aroma is somewhat oxidized, with yeast, malt, cookies and some fruitiness. Sweet and sugary flavor with malt, alcohol, honey, grainy notes, a bit of fruits and oxidation notes. Medium-bodied and over-carbonated. Not too pleasant.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - bbe 10/13, courtesy of rosenbergh, thanks Jan, 20130406) The beer poured brown and cloudy. Its head was small and almost white. Aroma had malts, toothpaste, sweetness and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were berries, malts, sweetness, mild sourness and some bitterness. Aftertaste was weird and bitter. Something was really wrong with this beer.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with no head. The aroma has notes of over ripe fruits and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of over ripe fruits, malt, and caramel, leading to a dry finish. The body is light. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours an opaque brown with hardly any head. Aroma has sweet overripe fruit. Medium body, close to flat, caramellish, overripe fruit, very sugary with a modest hop impact. Sort of an English style BW. Kinda enjoyable - even if sloppy. 140113
