Cask gravity at Reading BF 2010. Black with a thin bubbly tan head. Some powder on aroma, some coffee and choc, more coffeeish on the finish. It’s better on the finish, than on the aroma or body, so fairly ok

Cask at the Thomas Lloyd (JDW), Warwick. An excellent stout - glossy, mollases black in colour with a thin tan head; the aroma is primarily chocolate malt, but with perhaps a hint of coffee; the body is thin but very well flavoured, doing exactly what it says on the pump clip - sweet chocolate, mellow coffee and milk, are all clearly present. The finish id dry, warming, and moreish.
