Pretty clear golden and lightly copper coloured body with a thinnish, single to two centimetre tall off-white and light tan head that fades pretty quickly. Aroma of grass, light grapefruit and a dash of pine, with some lighter malts noticeable, like biscuits and a dash of rice, as well. Light to Medium-bodied; Pretty crisp and grassy hop notes show at first with a pretty nice, dry bitterness, along with a dash of apricot and stone fruit notes and not much malts here nor much sugars, but both are noticeable. Aftertaste shows some grassy dryness coupled with the light malts and a touch of sugars at the end with only a hint of bread and yeast, but the alcohol is pretty well hidden, especially at the end. Overall, a pretty decent and succinct IPA with some grassy, herbal and perfumey qualities, but relatively straight-forward with some nice bitterness, and having it still go down pretty easily. Good to sample and worth the space in my car (would have been okay in my suitcase, as well) from Michigan to home. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Trader Joe's in Northville, Michigan on 23-October-2022 for US$3,25, canned on 22-April-2022 with the tagline 'It's about the Lake Life' on the bottom and sampled at the National Zoo during Zoo Lights on 20-December-2022 with my wife and three kids.
