Had this bottle in my refrigerator for almost a year. The age didn't hurt, better than I expected. Not great, but a decent example of the style.
330ml, bottle.

Minnesota Trip Beer #108. Keg at Muddy Waters, Minneapolis, 5/10/16. Clear golden, large creamy white head, good retention. Aroma of pale malt, corn, mild toasted malt. The taste is corn and grassy hop. Medium bodied, crisp, mild lingering bitterness.

On tap at Stanley’s. Pouts a clear gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma has lots of straw and hay with a bit of sweet grains and grass supporting. Flavor has a combination of grass and straw with some bread and hay underlying.

This is the best of the three current Grainbelt beers, with the others being far too sweet. Familiar Grainbelt aroma with less sugar. Surprising amount of hops in the aroma as well. Quite dry, considering its provenance. A dry, bitter, hop bite and some grain, and I am reminded of sipping Blatz from my grandfather’s glass 30 years ago. I really like how dry this beer is in the flavor and palate. Looks good, yellow color and a tall, thick head that lasts and laces the glass.
