(on tap) Clear golden with good white head. Aroma has hints of toffee. Light body and light carbonation. Flavour is light toffee or butterscotch with slightly tart balancing notes. Lacks bitterness and falls rather flat. Overall probably an OK session beer, but not particularly impressive.

Cask handpull in Market Porter. Very malty on aroma. Bit of yeast. Fruit and malt in mouth. Not a lot of hop on finish. Caramel. Pretty boring if not much wrong with it.

(Cask at Wenlock Arms, London, 4 Aug 2009) Dark copper colour with brief, off-white head. Malty, slightly roasty nose with dark fruit and grain. Malty, slightly roasted taste with notes of nuts, ryvita and dark bread. Dry bitterness in the finish. Rather light body, balanced sweetness. Slightly boring, but drinkable.
