Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading. A rather ordinary bitter. Chestnut with a thin white head; fruity malt flavours developing slowly (perhaps served too cold?); and a nutty dry finish. No complaints, but nothing to enthuse about.

Cask conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 22/5/07. Brown with a slight head. A sweet, malty aroma followed by a fruity flavour and sour finish. Not a beer I would bother to drink again.

Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen. A hazy amber beer with a beutiful orange head. The aroma is sweet and freshly hoppy combined with notes of fruit. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of peaches, caramel, and elderberryflowers. The body is a bit thin.

Cask handpull at The Phoenix, Canterbury. Chestnut with thin beige head. Earthy, muddy in mouth with caramel and earthy/berb hop. Soft in mouth, and finish is not too assertive, fades quite quickly. Hop of finish needs to be more pronounced for my liking
