This is a smooth, lightly hopped and aromatic English style Brown Ale, pleasantly malty with a hint of honey in aroma and taste and subtle hop character.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin tan head. The aroma has notes of malt and over ripe fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, brewing mash, and over ripe fruits - a somewhat weird combination. The finish is dry and bitter, and the body is light.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden brown to amber with a full and off-white head. Wineous to dark fruity aroma. Mild spiced and solid roasted malt flavour with a light bitterness showing through. Acidic and roasted finish with a solid bitterness coming coming through and a smooth chocolate note on top.

Bottle from Tesco, Ilkeston, Derbyshire. Dark amber in colour with a soft white head; malty caramel aroma; the flavour is very pleasant, not over sweet, with honey and nuts; leading to a dry and slightly bitter finish. Not as heavy as most Brown Ales, a very drinkable style.

Bottle at London Gathering Nov 05. Dark brown colour with beige head. Nice malts on the aroma along with a bit of spiciness and demerara sugar. Bit sherberty in the mouth and then brown sugar malt. Bit of a taste of syrup. Fine
