Dark red with a frothy, beige head. Campfire aroma. Whiffs of cherry syrup and caramel underneath. Mild smoky bittersweetness most of the way through. Nice blend of charred bitterness and sweet caramel. Finishes warm, mildly alcoholic. Body medium to full, carbonation balanced. Good overall.

Aroma has smoke, worty tones and some dried fruits. Flavour has alcohol, dried fruits, some tobacco and ashy smoke. Also mild vegetable tones. Too much alcohol here.

Stark karbonisierter Antrunk. Angenehme Rauchigkeit, die gut zu dem erkennbaren Alkohol passt. Würzig, deutlich hefig, die Rauchigkeit bleibt würzig-stark. Wow! 9/13/11/11/11/13

Bottle 750ml.Clear medium to dark brown colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, wood, smoke, butter, citrus, phenol. Flavour is light heavy sweet and moderate acidic with a long duration, plastic, sour, tart, buttery. A combination of many bad flavors !! Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. [20130215]

Bottle, 75cl. A murky, brown beer that lacks head almost completely. The aroma has some sourness, as well as toffee, chocolate and some fruityness. The flavor is more on the smoked side, with bacon, some dried fruits, caramel and bitterness. Some sweetness, but it’s quite dry. Soft on the palate, medium to full body. Lightly smoked finish, with a pleasant bitterness. Not my kind of smoked beer. Not my kind of beer anyway. 130215

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a cloudy opaque brown and a small off-white head. Sweet caramellish and nutty nose with a greasy note and a whiff of smoke. Rich body, lowish carbonation, tart plums, sweet tobacco and a rough bitter finish. A beer that will many things but achieves very little. 150213

Bottle @ The 4th Annual Fastelavns-Tasting Ulfborg, 2013. Pours unclear amber with a off white head. Muddy.Vomit, syrup, rye, phenolic, cough medicine, Hot alcohol. A mess.
