500ml Bottle: BBD end of Feb 14, poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard on 8th Nov 13 (at home). Looked fine, a bright, deep golden body with a snow white head that hung around. The nose was a mixed bag of esters: floral, fruity and semi-sweet malty molasses. The taste was also a blend of flavours, again floral, fruity and with malty sweetness. The rear label mentioned ’citrus flavours’, I’m pleased to say I didn’t notice any of those! Body depth and mouth feel were fine, suited the alcohol content well and drinking this in a hot kitchen while preparing food was a good idea: it quenched my thirst nicely without really testing my rating skills. Overall a pleasant if uninspiring brew: nothing special, but nothing to complain about either. This isn’t going to test your taste buds too greatly, nor is it going to upset you.

GBBF. Clear gold beer, no real head. Light dry palate. Flat. Honeysih malt. Sweet marmalade. Neutral finish. Looks and tastes like a Golden and it would be a good one if it had any semblance of condition.
