This brew is named after Kw’okw’echíwel Stl’áleqem (Dragon's Back) trail in Hope BC & inspired by stouts of the Caribbean & Southeast Asia. It’s packed with notes of sweet roasted malt, coffee & chocolate but has a surprisingly dry finish. Though classed as a type of stout, our house strain of lager yeast does all of the heavy lifting in this dark beer meant for drinking in hot weather.

473 ml can. Pours a very dark brown with moderate tannish head. Aromas of dry dark chocolate, and creamy roasted malts. Flavors of mineral water, sugar and lots of roasted malts. Pretty simple.

Poured from 473mL can. Near black with small tan head. Light roast, feint lactose quality, fruity wood glue? I think this is actually a decent attempt at this style.

Dark brown. Looks oily, no head. Light roast aroma. Chocolate, sweetish, gentle roast throughout. Missing the fruity vibrancy I prefer in this style, but they definitely appreciate and respect what a foreign stout is (an actual style, not a gravity range). Well, shit, cheers to that!
