330 ml bottle. Pours a deep copper color with moderate head. Aromas of fruity rum, oak, gummy bears, dry caramel, and sweet toasted malts. Flavors of calvados, rye, baked apples, candi sugar, and more sweet toasted malts. Very nice

A medium haze on this amber beer, short pale tan head. Nose of sweet malts and light fruity rum. Quite a light palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. The taste follows the nose well. The malts, on the thinnish side, still deliver a nice creamy caramel vibe. Not a top notch malt profile for a stand alone barleywine but good enough to showcase the rum barrel here. Touch of oaky vanilla. Light but rich fruity rum, seems to be edging towards the high ester variety. Light and fairly dry finish. Rich rum linger, slightly piney. Nice job. Barleywine as a rum delivery system, no problems here!
