This richly malty, English-style Barleywine was made with a local flavour. The barely for this beer was grown and malted on Vancouver Island and it was aged for ten months in local Bourbon-style Whisky barrels.

2022 was aged in Okanagan Spirits Bourbon-style whisky barrels.

500 ml bottle. Pours a dark copper colour with no head. Aromas of postage stamp, vegetal oak, and toasted malts. Flavors of cheap bourbon, green oak, raisins and toasted malts. Finishes with a hot dose of booze and faint Vega to notes. Not up to par with previous years and may be infected. Local “bourbon-style” barrels?
