Combining Canadian and American malts with a large proportion of un-malted white winter wheat, Fiat Lux starts with a Belgian witbier inspiration. A blend of Pacific Northwest hops, a little lime peel and a dash of Indian coriander brings a bright blast of citrusy aromatic sunshine, while German Perle hops supply a nice big zap of refreshing bitterness.

Sample at World of Beer. This brew pours a hazy golden color with a thin white head that evaporates steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, yeast and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of fruity yeast, spices and toasted malt. The finish is fruity with a peppery yeast aftertaste. Decent overall.

Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a yellow-gold color with a medium sized foamy white head that faded quickly but left great lacing. The aroma was musty and dusty with moderate notes of citrus, perfume and bubblegum. The flavor was dry, bitter and musty with notes of orange, lemon, bread and Windex. Medium length dry, bitter musty and lemon finish. Medium body. Disappointing.

On tap at Hay Merchant. Pours a clear copper gold with a thick creamy white head leaving good sticky lacig along the glass. The aroma is a strong yeast and pepper. Medium mouthfeel with a sweet honey and yeast with nice lingering dry finish. A good Belgian from Brooklyn.
