This baltic porter has a delectably dark chocolate presence met with toffee and dark fruits. Utilizing a lager yeast to provide an exceptionally smooth presence, which meets with gentle roasted notes, wrapped up in the notably clean finish. This west coast collaboration is a welcomed addition to any glass.

Lighthouse / Andina collab. Bought this can, and it's from Lighthouse. Dark brown in colour. Just a thin head. Looks hazy but hard to tell at this level of darkness. The aroma is a bit thinner/toastier than I might prefer - there are Baltic porters this low abv but few, and not the best. So that sort of thinnish, crackery, nutty thing is telling me this is too light, lacking residual sugars. I'm not sure I'd describe the palate the same way - it has enough sugar, and body. That allows a little bit of molasses to balance out the toasty/crackery stuff. No alcohol kick. Decent hop balance. I'd say this is definitely more like the ones you'd get in Russia - Baltika or the long-departed Stepan Razin. So within style, but lacking some of the qualities I prefer most in a Baltic porter.

473 ml can. Pours a dark brown with full head. Aromas of light nutty chocolate, cola, and sour malts. Flavors follow same with additional bread crust and mineral notes. Easy to drink.
