330mL bottle, pours black with a small brown head. Nose is sludgy, with harsh cocoa, weird vanilla, and some barrel – very odd and murky. Flavour has a very strange and harsh vanilla character, almost a perfumey bourbon character, and a general sludginess. The base beer isn’t burly enough to support the barrels, but the barrel treatment is just unpleasant. This didn’t work at all.

330mL bottle. Pours black with minimal beige head. Tons of vanilla and burnt sugar on the nose. Flavour has a ton of burnt vanilla, charred wood. Thin body for this ABV. As it warms up, the nose and flavour adopt a manure quality that is pretty unpleasant. Outhouse manure (bad), not farmhouse manure (good).

330 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with short tan head. Aromas of licorice, sharp vanilla, dark chocolate, and roasted malts. And I am getting some bug spray… Flavors of dark chocolate, vanilla extract, boozy bourbon, and roasted malts.

Poured from 330mL bottle. Very dark brown with small beige head. Vanilla, tons of woody herbal notes, feint bourbon - quite a burnt marshmallow note here. Not a big fan, but it's quite interesting and has some nice complexities.

Dark brown, no head, all kinds of vanilla -cola but more complex than even any hipster cola I've had. Soft body and gentle rounded finish. The malts are a bit husky but overall this is solid.
