Like the lone dancer who started a panic in Strasbourg‘s main square the summer of 1518, the Barbe Rouge hop also hails from Alsace region of France. After dancing the devil out of your palate, these big fruity hops are swallowed up by the dry finish of the champagne-style beer.

Can from High Point, Vancouver; 7.3% ABV
Hazy blond colour, medium head. Moderate aroma of hops, starting with some weed, then some citrus peel. It's very dry, and the mouthfeel is almost week; not getting any particular vibe from the malt, or from the hops; on the other side, it's innaturally mineral, that's all that can be tasted, especially in the finish, borderline metallic. For me, it needs more body, maybe a touch of sweetness.
Weird. (32 or 33)
